Valentine Tips From DALnet
Put special little notes where he/she will find it later.
For men: put them in his socks, billfold, coat pocket, gloves, briefcase, dresser drawer, under his bottle of after shave, in his favorite chair, on the remote control, inside the newspaper...use your imagination!
For women, some of the above works as well as: under the telephone receiver and call, under her plate at the dinner table so when she clears the table she will find it, in the car on the dash, in the mailbox, on her pillow, if you go out for dinner give it to the waiter "sneaky like" and have him put it on her plate....I know you can find lots of places!
Ahmm, be SURE they like computers as much as YOU do! *hint: don't want you in trouble!*
Make a *.wav* of your voice for his/her computer. Could be of love, or appropriate for windows functions.
Have a personal Valentine card Web page just for him/her. Put it on the Internet for the world to see, or make it so just he/she will see it. Wow! Also a great idea for Mom, Dad, grandparents, children and good friends!
Give wallpaper, screen saver, email cards, email flowers, and send a mouse pad.
Keep first in mind WHO this gift is for. Don't purchase what YOU like but give a gift he or she would enjoy.
Fix a special lunch box. Inside could include a special card, a heart shaped cookie or cupcake, and maybe even a "redeemable handwitten coupon" sticking out of the sandwich. hmmmm *eg*
Get a Victoria's Secret Catalog ..! They have wonderful things from clothing to intimate apparel. There is a set of white silk sheets with outlines of dark pink hearts on them. She would sleep feeling special while dreaming of you!
Send little things all day. Try email cards from different places each with a different thing you love about him/ her.
Later, a snail mail card ..either to the home or office.
Order something to be delivered to the house/office.
Bring him/her something when you arrive.
Leave a little piece of candy .. or box..on the pillow.
WOW...now that is a full day!! *snicker*
Call three times .. or more...just to say "I love you" and hang up.
Make a special card all by yourself. Its not the talents .. trust me .. its the thought of making it yourself and the words written on paper. Either do this by hand or via computer. If you use a computer for the graphics, print it out and be sure to write at least some of the words by hand.
Give a gift made up of three items:
one for the mind, one for the heart, and one for the soul.
Or make the combination: one for the heart, one for the body, and one for the soul/mind.
For the soul you could use meditation tapes/cd's .. i.e. sounds of the ocean, rain, etc ., inspirational books or poems just to name a couple.
Aromatherapy is great too. Mmm those relaxing times!
Again...use your creativity.

A single rose from the one you love is treasured more than three dozen from anyone else. Simplicity is good! You can do a lot of the things above on a low budget. Repect, admiration, trust, knowing all of a person, and all things that add up to the deep feeling of love is not bought with money. *s*
