Cupid Comes to DALnet
These days the 14th February could just as easily be called Hallmark Day as St Valentine's Day. It's a day when most of us world-weary cynics simply cringe and start quoting statistics on the profits of Interflora and well-known chocolate makers. It all seems to be one big commercial rip-off and a million miles away from real romance.
However, even the biggest cynic in the world has to admit to a lifting of the heart, and a little happy skip of the stomach when a card plops through the letterbox on St Valentine's Day. The worst sceptic feels a warm glow when faced with a bunch of flowers from that one person they'd walk hot ashes for.
This year we thought we'd lay aside the prickly scepticism and indulge in a day of romance on DALnet. We've been quietly compiling messages of love from those who wanted to bare their hearts, and we've out interviewing people too.
So we hope you'll enjoy our little Valentine's Day section and, if you missed sending in a message for your sweetheart, take your courage by the reigns and tell that special someone how you feel this 14th February.
