Well Wishes I
Compiled by Curve

We've had heaps of messages flood in from all over the place, here are a few reprinted with names taken out to protect the innocent:

---

Firstly I would like to use the worlds of wisdom as put in a forum i read: "The jealousy some of you have of those that have that 'almighty' o:line is pathetic. You do not like something and you immediately blame it on the opers being 'power-hungry' which is simply laughable. Being an oper is often difficult because we cannot say/do what we WANT to say/do in lieu of what is best for the network. You have NO idea how much self-control that can take!!"

---

Just wanted to drop a line of support and let you know that while I may be with/run another network I definitely sympathize with the plight of DAL, and would like to offer whatever assistance I can, even if it's just a kind word from time to time.

Keep at it and know that the rest of the IRC community is out here pulling for you. At least the sane ones *grin*

---

after reading a posting by asmo on IRCjunkie I feel relieved that DALnet will return, and be better than ever.
I started out on DALnet and have no desire to go any where else.
I look forward to the return,
A gratefull user.

First off all thx for all the good times I haved used Dalnet services.
I enjoyed it verry much and I'm greatfull for all the service and help.
Sorry to see dalnet is going down by I assume attacks on the network server!

I heard it was going to try one last time I really hope dalnet will stay forever so I can keep my channel going.

---

I feel the need to express my feelings about this problem ur having...

I´ve been a DALnet user for a few years... and seeing this happen makes me feel really sad... It is such a pity knowing that some ppl just want to destroy and to bother a community... such as this one... with no specific reasons I guess...

So... I just wanted to say... that I'm one of the users that will not go to another server.. and I hope DALnet is back soon and kicking! :D

Thanks to all the ppl who makes DALnet and who works for DALnet...
Best Wishes and the best of the lucks! :)

---

I'm sure that there's nothing that I can do- just wanted to let you and the DALnet staff that a whole lot of us care and won't abandon the network- even if we can't get on for a while.

---

Just saying thanks for posting on irc101 and I hope to be helpful in any way in the fight against abuse!! I am a coder and scripter and I hate it when hard work gets downtrodden!

---

To me DalNet is Part my family i talked to my family on it meet people from all over the wourld and I thank you for that.

---

When things settle down I will be back. DALnet is my home IRC network and always will be. That's just the way it is and no script monkey wannabe "hacker" will ever change that as long as there is a DALnet.

---

I too feel the same and would also like to say thanks to all the admin for doing their best to keep DALnet running despite these awful attacks. Also, thanks for providing a free chat environment to connect with thousands of users all over the world - many of which have become good friends over the years.

---

It takes a great detail of patience and dedication to thwart what is happening to DALnet and I will wait until things resume as will the rest of the dedicated DALnet users. I still believe that DALnet will rise above this situation and regain its user base. Make no mistake about it, I am one of the many DALnet users that appreciates the network and the administration behind it

---

DALnet will always live on, in the hearts and minds of its users, take it down and it will return, abuse it and you will only strengthen the resolve of its users and operators..
