DALnet news update

DALnet has gained a number of new servers over the last few months. Here's a list of new IX servers and the month they linked:
February: loyalty.* and novel.*
March: jingo.*
April: redemption.*, serenity.* and soho-r.*
June: masters.*
July: hollywood.*
December: aeon.* and oi.*
January: maple.* and hope.*
They, like the other IX servers, can all be reached by pointing your IRC client to irc.dal.net. For the full list of DALnet servers click

Services has had a few changes in the past few months:
Users who have been set as successor with or without their knowledge can remove themselves. The command to do so:
/chanserv successor #channelname del
How to find out if you're a successor of a channel? Login at http://users.dal.net with your nickname and password, choose the option "DAL Channels" (it's on the left side of the page), and go to "What channels am I Successor in?"
In the past, MemoServ displayed only 20 memos. Now memos can be listed from a certain position. Using /MemoServ list #startpoint will list you memos from position #startpoint. For instance to list your memos starting from the 15th:
/memoserv list 15
Services' date format has changed. Now it shows the date as the following: DAY, DD-MONTH-YYYY TIME GMT
